Secret Income for Auto Accident Cases

When a vehicle is rented, the person renting the vehicle can purchase insurance from the rental company or use their own insurance.

At the time of the rental, the person or persons who will be operating the vehicle are identified (or designated) to the rental company.

If your patient has been injured by a rented vehicle driven by a non-designated driver and is at fault, there may be no insurance coverage.

However, it is important to know that the rental company may be required to carry the state minimum liability coverage on their vehicles. This can vary state to state so you have to check but rest assured that the rental company is not going to volunteer this information.
